Entry of the bridal party. My
father is leading me to the altar; he was probably the
more anxious of the two of us.

Ivana and Gabi were Silvija's brides maids and matrons of
honour, and Jorgen was Andreas's best man. Ivana is my
oldest friend, and Gabi is my sister. The ceremony was
excellent, although it was the first wedding Gavin ever
conducted.

He forgot to let the groom kiss the bride, until
the very end of the ceremony and everyone was getting
worried :-)

Ivana read from the Corinthians 13 RSV, and Helene Bangert
(8) read The Owl and the Pussycat.

During the signing of the
register Eva Maria Bartsch sang from Haydn’s Creation,
accompanied by Phillip Bullock. They did a fantastic
job. Eva is the best soprano I've heard in a long while.
The rest of the music was taken care of by the organist Bob
Eaton, and he did an excellent job with the marches and the
hymns, even with the Norwegian hymn "Å leva det er å elska":
The exit of the bridal pair, lots of congratulations and then
the transit to the back garden for champagne:

The photos from the following champagne reception in the garden are here, and the main page is here.
